Joburg Rain is No Match for E-TV’s Slip Prevention

Well-known South African broadcaster E-TV uses Slip No More slip prevention solutions to ensure that their visitors won’t have to slip ‘no more’.

The popular free-to-air television channel explained that their head office in Hyde Park was experiencing some very slippery floors due to the wet conditions associated with rain. We realised that the E-TV building’s ramp and stairs consisted of smooth surface tiles that were extremely slippery when wet. This could lead to a fall or serious accident so we took care to ensure the best slip prevention solution possible.

Here Were Our Slip Prevention Recommendations:

• We used our Slip No More Anti-slip Coatings (either for ceramics or porcelain tiles) on the walkways to the main entrance. The Urethane was coloured to match their corporate colours, we also included a traction bead into the coating in order to achieve an anti slip finish.

This is an effective slip prevention method – even after continuous rain.

• We took it one step further and applied our Slip No More Nonslip Grip Kit to the ramp in increments of 350mm in order to conform with the international safety standard. We did the same to the stairs. The grip kit is the ideal slip prevention solution for stairs, ramps or sloped walkways.
