Distell’s management team gave Slip No More a call to assess the current safety conditions of their onsite ramps and stairs. We were happy to oblige and here’s what we had to say.

Here Were Anti Slip Coating Recommendations:

• They explained that they had issues at their Wadeville plant whereby the ramp to their reception area was slippery when wet. There used to be metal strips attached to the floor but these were more of a tripping hazard – due to the rubber inserts protruding of the floor. First we removed the aluminium strips and placed our Slip No More Nonslip Grip Kit down in order to eliminate the tripping hazard and increase the safety of both the ramp and stairs, either when wet or dry.

• We didn’t stop there, we also used our Slip No More Nonslip Grip Kit in the production plant. There are many very steep angle step ladders that needed added protection. Our grip kit increases the maximum overall amount of grip which is crucial in ensuring that the employees are kept safe in the workplace. We applied Grip Kit to the end of the stairs so that the tread plate was not exposed.

Another solution to the slipping is our Slip No More Anti-slip Coatings (either for ceramics or porcelain tiles). These anti slip coatings are designed to improve the tread and traction of the surface area of the floor – even after continuous cleaning our anti slip coating still provides maximum protection.
